About Rouse Hill NSW

Rouse Hill is a suburb located in the north-west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Hills District Council and is situated approximately 43 kilometers north-west of the Sydney CBD.

The area was originally home to the Darug people, who were the traditional owners of the land. European settlement in the area began in the early 1800s, with the arrival of Richard Rouse, a prominent landowner and businessman. Rouse Hill quickly grew into a bustling agricultural community, with farms and orchards producing a wide variety of crops. In the early 1900s, the area became known for its vineyards, with several wineries producing award-winning wines.
